Start by posting content from your blog. Your blog should have something to offer, no traffic will be directed to your blog if your content is not engaging.

Inside the Computer Keyboard

Aside from the mouse, computer keyboard is the fastest one to be replaced. Especially if it is being used almost eight hours a day in the office, if it is being used by a writer who stays in the computer for long hours, or if kids are using it. The standard keyboard consists of different keys such as Alphanumeric keys, Function keys, Control keys, Navigation keys, and numeric keypad.

Everytime my keyboard (when I was still using desktop computer) is malfunctioning, I am trying to open it and check the parts inside. The connections and the rubber inside if can be repairable, but most of keyboard are disposal so you need to replace it with a new one.

Those who are still using desktop, how many times do you replace your keyboard?

Is Customers always Right?

There is always a saying that ‘customers are always right”. Do you believe so? Customers are given the extended customer service as always and the understanding whenever they complain. But would the company always amend to customers demand? If the customers complain about something, they would always believe that they are right and that they expect an apology. 

If you are the manager, what would you do? A wise manager would know first the history of the complain or investigate first based on facts or documents presented. Usually date, time, and emails are very important to tell what really happened. Second is to hear both sides. After the investigation and the employee had failed to what is expected, the company can made the necessary actions to be done and apologize to the customer. Internally, the employee may be reminded or should take the consequences including any monetary charges if necessary.

On the other hand, customers is sometimes demanding or beyond reason just to get what they want. Every company or business has its own operational process and policies, but sometimes are reluctant to go through the process . If the employee is right, she/has has to feel that they are protected by the company and in return will earn their loyalty.

Adobe Photoshop is a popular graphic software among creative users. When you think of Adobe, photoshop is the next word you can say or remember. I have been an AdobePhotoshop user for years now although lately I have not been practicing the skills and not been updated with the latest version.

Do you think Adobe Photoshop is the best graphic software? I wonder if there other latest software that is at par with Adobe right now. I have tried Corel Draw, Paint Pro, and a few others. Computer graphics is very useful in business and creative activities. Looking for job is not easy especially that there are a lot of people nowadays who are not employed and the competition is quite tough among applicants. If you are serious about job hunting you need to plan it. Sometimes it took months before one can get job, so you really have to make careful planning. Proper preparation should be done primarily with your curriculum vitae or CV. CV is the window of your employer to you, your knowledge and skills. A badly prepared CV will reflect and might be the reason for the not being listed.

Persistence is important since you may have many applicants but may not be a successful one. Do not be discouraged when you are not called for interview. Make sure that the position you are applying is fit to your qualifications. Because you may end up hitting the wrong target.

Windmill Village, Cheese, and Wooden Clogs Factories Tour at Amsterdam

Holland is known for windmills, most travelers who visits this place will not miss a photo with a windmill. When you visit Amsterdam, there are special guided tours that features unique windmills as part of the itinerary. One trip tour package was a visit to Volendam, Marken, and Windmill Village. This is only a half-day tour at the countryside of Amsterdam which will not take time of your travel itinerary. This is an exciting experience for a first traveler where you can see the old dutch houses and see how they lived before.

Aside from windmills, Holland is also known for various cheese and wooden clogs. This tour also includes a visit to cheese factory and shoe maker of wooden clogs.

Facebook Video Screen Chat Problem

I am a Facebook user mainly for connecting with my family through chat messaging and video chats. A few weeks ago and just yesterday, I had my video chat with my brother, there was a problem with my screen. He can see us in our screen but on my screen there was only black screen appearing. We fail to see him so we just resort to using Skype. For my previous personal experience, Facebook video chat is better than Skype. It is more clearer and not requiring more internet use. It is easier since it is already within Facebook. Another thing is, when you drag the video window the resolution does not change at all. The sound is clear and well and good. For others that are slow and pixilated, it might be because of the speed of Internet connection already.

I am still browsing the internet for possible solution. I am using Chrome right now, but probably I would try to use Facebook video chat using other browser. I do not know if this is the solution. 

A Taste of Gyoza a Japanese Dumpling

Being a food dumpling lover, I recently tried gyoza Japanese dumplings from a Japanese restaurant in the metropolis. Well, I loved it and hope to eat it again soon. The gyoza was soft, quite sticky, the skin is thin, and just delicious when dip in soy sauce. I wish I had the time to do it at home or somebody would cook for me as a gift. :-D 

Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling either with pork,shrimp, chicken, crab, and vegetable filling. Other fillings can be explored as long as it taste good. I was able to have the pan-fried gyoza and hopefully will try the steamed one next time.

Do you ever get bored of your everyday life? Are you unemployed or are you tired of doing the same routine in your work or in the house? Sometimes we actually feel like the boredom, but there are things we can do about it to face life more with enthusiasm. Here are some things to get rid of boredom:

Home Photography Session

I have always been interested in art related activities, either by creating personalized greeting cards, painting, computer graphics, and photography. Although I was not able to pursue them professionally, I still love doing it in my free time.

I have several mugs at home. Most of them are gifts from family and friends, but the one used in my profile name was from a music store I bought years ago. I am fond of buying music related things and accessories. One evening I had the interest in taking photos of these mugs, but I am attaching only the two photos I took for the mug with red hearts came from Greece. Our glass dining table was just perfect to create natural photo effects.

Skeleton Display from Amsterdam Trip

Amsterdam is a prime tourist location in  Europe visited by many tourists throughout the year to see the various travel locations in the city and the rest of the Holland. 

When we travel to Amsterdam and had our trip to Volendam, Marken Village, I am enjoying the various souvenir items on display while waiting to buy our tour ticket. I am fascinated with the skeleton display at the corner near the entrance. I wonder where did they got it. It is unlikely that kind of display will be there. Maybe, an added attraction to entice more visitors to come in.

  

The tour was great and I am happy that I was able to capture the skeleton and the other interesting places and things during the tour.

The Menudo Group 80's Singing Sensation

Remember the group “Menudo”?, the Puerto Rican boy band which was formed in the 1970’s, but became popular in the 80’s capturing the heart of many teenage girls and women. The Menudo members that time were Ricky Martin, Robi Rosa, Charlie Masso, Roy Rosello, and Raymond Acebedo.

I was on my elementary days with my friends swooning on the boys. Sometimes we go to one of our friend’s house and watch their videos. Each of us will have a favorite Menudo member, for me I like Ricky Martin who was the youngest and the cutest that time. Robby Rosa was the heartthrob and the popular member, but I liked Charlie Masso over him. I guess I always go for not the popular one same as I like Matt Damon more than Brad Pitt. 

Menudo songs are easy to sing, the first song I memorized on my early years is “If 
You’re not Here”. I would always go back to these times which was part of my childhood years.

Places to visit in Ilocos Region

Marcos Museum and Mausoleum is located in Batac, Ilocos Norte where the body remains of the late President Marcos is placed. This is also where thousands of photos are on display about the Marcos Family.

Malacañang of the North is the official resident of former President of the Philippines, Ferdinand E. Marcos, in Ilocos Norte. Old furnitures and art pieces can be found.

Paoay Sand Dunes is an adventure outdoor place where you need to ride a 4 x 4 vehicle (alone or with a group) where you can experience a thrilling ride with sand surfing. It is actually physically challenging.

I just paid my credit card earlier and I have to withdraw from my savings since I did not receive the money I am expecting this week. Food Trip: Ilocano Pinakbet Pizza, Poqui - Poqui Dish and More!

Aside from the beautiful places we try to explore, traveling is not complete without having a food trip with the local delicacies and various dishes. From my recent trip to the north of the Philippines, I was able to experience some great food from Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.

Poqui- Poqui dish - a vegetable roasted eggplant dish available in Herencia Restaurant (the birthplace of Pinakbet Pizza just across the Paoay Church)

Ilocos Empanada – this is a delicious food from Vigan (in Ilocos Sur), empanada with egg inside. Having two empanada are enough for a dinner.

Ilocos Langgonisa – Longaniza or longganisa is a local sausage mixed with native spices, the longganisa from Ilocos is delicious because it is usually less fat. 

Pinakbet Pizza – we are used to have pizza with pepperoni, bacon,mushroom, salami and other standard ingredients for a pizza. Pinakbet is a popular vegetable dish in the Philippines, but having it as a pizza is quite different. Instead of putting hot sauce you will put “bagoong”, a popular ingredient or condiment in Philippine dishes which is a fermented fish and salt. Also a specialty food from Herencia Restaurant.

Ilocos “Suka” or Vinegar – the native vinegar from the region has more taste and different from the vinegar available in the supermarket. It is excellent for the empanada and longganisa.

Health Check for your Family

I recently was hospitalized while at work I had to go undertime because I cannot bear the pain in my stomach. It is been quite sometime that I am not sick and hospitalized, I need to leave for work instead. 

Health is so important since we cannot do what we normally do. Primarily we cannot work well and forced to rest. Some people also have the difficulty in taking medicines. For me, I am not really afraid of big size medicines, but I do not like the smell of some medicines. There are other things that we cannot do while we are sick especially if you are bedridden.

Make your health a priority and have an executive check up if you feel normal. It is good that health check ups are done periodically atleast twice or once a year for each member of the family.

Parents are so concern about the welfare and future of their children especially when it comes to their education. Aside from the enrollment fee, they are so busy with their preparations before the school opens. Moms are busy buying new school supplies for their kids, if they have three or five kids studying on the same year, it means they need to buy more supplies according to their school levels. Uniforms are quite costly these days. 

School supplies are not only the one to be prepared, kids should be prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally. There are kids who are excited for the school openings while some kids are afraid for some reasons especially if they have bad experiences in school.

At last, a much-awaited vacation is being realized. YouTube is the most successful video website where people from walks of life uploads videos. There are a lot of videos you can watch in various categories would it be for fun, sports, tutorial, music, movies, and more. YouTube had changed a lot of some people who became popular because of the website. 

Aside from watching tutorials I enjoy watching episodes of old favorite television shows and music live concert performances of my favorites. On this way, I will be able to unwind a bit from the regular activities and stress. Thanks to the people who uploads great videos, I just hope that YouTube will not be abused by people so that it will continue to run for a long time.
