Shopping Time during Christmas

Only days left and Christmas Eve is already here. My shopping list was ready to be fulfilled, and I have the money to buy for the gifts already. I am happy to go out and do my agenda, but unfortunately I am not feeling well. In addition to that, the weather was quite hot outside and I am thinking if I will be able to withstand the crowded malls for those who are also doing their shopping rush. I am supposed to go to my friends house after, but I just decided not to go anymore.

I should be resting at home and reserve my energy for the rest for the coming days. Actually not resting at home, I managed to clean the room and wrapped some gifts that I already have. My gifts are not actually expensive, but I am happy with the personalized wrapping that I have been doing for several years. They are sealed with love and sincerity.

Talk about Independent Living

Living in an apartment, flat, or a condominium is one of the common among young professionals. Because of their income capacity to pay for rent or place and the luxury of having the freedom to do what they want, there is a bigger confidence to live independently. Living independently means doing everything on a daily basis relying on your own self for your needs. If you are planning to live independently, here are some thoughts to consider:

Be ready with your budget. Having to spend for all your needs will entail you a sum of money. If you are living alone, you will be able to allocate your funds well.

Time management is equally important since you will be doing your own chores such us buying your groceries, preparing your meals, cleaning the place, and more. Learn to manage time so that aside from your work, you will be able to organize things in your place.

Holiday Stress during Christmas Season

Christmas Season is already here and only days to go before Christmas. The Christmas rush has started for people who are busy shopping gifts for their family, friends, colleagues in the office, attending various Christmas parties, organizing charity events for those who need, and other many activities during the season.

During Christmas, most businesses are also on their peak season where there is an increase in supplies. Employees of restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, holiday entertainment spots, holiday, and other retail stores are round the clock

If you are those who have a lot of activities during the season, holiday stress is unavoidable. But still, it is the time to enjoy the true spirit of Christmas together with our family and friends.

Time Management: Getting Busy or being Idle

Time management is an important factor on being successful.  Time is gold for those who have handful of activities where 24 hours are sometimes not enough. You cannot even find time to sleep because there are things to do. But for those who are lazy and bored, idleness is a way of life.

Time Management especially during Pandemic

Days are counting but you are still unproductive.  Getting busy or to be  idle is a choice you have to make on a daily basis. It is a choice if you are going to be lazy or do productive activities. If you choose to be idle, it means you just hang around the house or your room, watching television being a couch potato, staying on the internet just browsing without having an agenda of researching or working online.

If you choose to get busy, you have a plan for your daily activities and  motivated to accomplish what you have planned. Sometimes things did not happen the way you planned, but you can adjust and be flexible.

During these Covid-19 pandemic days, time is slow while you stay at home.  This is a great opportunity to use time wisely for family, home improvements, self discovery, enhance skills and knowledge.  Sharing for unfortunate people during this pandemic is also needed either giving our time doing DIY faceshield, cooking meals for others, and other ways to help.

Time management means you value your time and also respect other's time.

Lessons from Movies

Movies had been a part of entertainment activities to avoid boredom, stress, or simply want to relax for a feel good movie. Watching movies is either by watching in theaters or at home. Nowadays, there are other digital ways to watch through videos in the computer, tablets, or smartphones with large storage to hold movies.

There are types of movies such as horror, comedy, action, drama, fiction. There a lot of movies on different types, but we do remember movies that gave lessons to us which somehow relate to our life. There are movies that we are not tired of watching even for a number of times. I remember my old organizer notebook, I listed some movies and the lessons learned. Some of my favorite movies are Good Will hunting, Ever After, Ghost, Forrest Gump, and a lot more. There are actually too many to mention.

But there are also crap movies not worth watching for.

Travel Tips : Things for your Luggage Bag

Careful planning will save you from forgetting something (imagine the stress when it happens), and for unexpected buying of necessary things which is usually costly at destinations. Here are some tips on planning, and a list of essential things to bring :

Write it down. There is no better way to start planning than making a list of things to do and things to bring. This will guide us through the whole preparation process.

Travel lightly.  Every traveler do not want to be bothered about carrying a burden of luggage, so make it a goal to pack all things as lightly as possible.

Make sure that your luggage bag is just enough for your things, some travelers also prefer to have a distinct color rather than the common colors such as black and blue. This will help you easily spot your luggage during arrival. Make sure luggage tag is complete with your name and correct contact details.

Essential toiletries. Bring small containers of your toiletries and take only as much as you need. Zip-lock plastic bags are useful for small things and compressing the items.

Clothing, bring enough underwear and socks up to the last day of the trip. Choose clothes that are neutral colors, and can easily mix and match. Carry a light trench coat so you can still manage to bring your carry-on bags.

Bring two pair of shoes. Wear one and pack one. Traveling usually takes a lot of walking so make sure that you have a good pair of walking shoes to fully enjoy your trip.

For men : a travel electric shaver

For women: cosmetics kit and other beauty regimen products that might not be available at destination place.
For overseas trip, check the country voltage in advance.   It is always safe to bring a 110/220 volt power converters.

Carry on bag or "handcarry" bag for your next travel, it is advisable to have a large outsize zippered compartments as well as multiple compartments inside.

Airline tickets, passport, visa, tour vouchers, travel insurance (give copies of your travel insurance and itinerary to any of your relatives or trusted person in case of emergency), a list of contact details ( or have it saved in your mobile) of your accommodation, relatives, or any business contacts at destination.

An emergency medical kit that contains basic medicines for a cold remedy, upset-stomach, band-aids, and liniment oil to warm the body.

Always check airline luggage policies to avoid hassles at the airport.
