Normally, applicants main concern is the compensation package. Some applicants have the courage to ask and some are just waiting for the employer to inform about the offer. Is it appropriate that for the initial interview the applicant would ask about it?
Initial interview is the process of qualifying the applications for a shortlist. The applicants do not have much the right to ask since she/he is not sure if qualified. Some employers will have the impression that the applicant is only eager about the compensation. If being called for the final interview, it means that the applicant is qualified and being offered by a compensation package. Some interviews takes 1 to 3 schedules after finally accepted. They can have the negotiating power if qualifications are at par with the requirements.
