Save Money From Your Electrical Bill

LIGHTING

Clean bulbs regularly.

Use lamps that provide direct lighting over desks, beds, and other weak areas.

Use compact fluorescent lights instead of incandescent bulbs.

Make sure that you turn off the lights when not in use.

Ever family member should make an effort to save electricity.

REFRIGERATORS

Clean condenser coils.

Place refrigerators at least 4 inches away from the wall.

Make sure you check the door gaskets, it should be sealed tightly to prevent cold air from escaping.

Defrost regularly before it builds up to keep the refrigerator running efficiently.

Keep the refrigerator close.

IRONING

Schedule ironing in a week.

Dampen clothes moderately, excessively moistened clothes take longer to iron.

Switch off the iron in the last few minutes of ironing.  The remaining heat for the small clothings.

COOKING

Prepare ingredients first before turning on the stove.  Thaw frozen food before cooking.

Cover pots and pan with lids to prevent heat from escaping .

Make it a habit to lessen the fire then increase it only when necessary.

avoid using a big burner for a small pan to lessen the heat needed.

Switch off the electric stove during the last minute of the cooking, the heat will make the food simmer.
